Stories & Works in Progress
Dark fiction, distant places, and the lives we try to rebuild. Explore my published collection and the books taking shape behind the scenes—from European mysteries to a personal account of mental illness abroad.
Every time you read, you’re giving something back. When a book is published under the Howling Ridge imprint, 50% of net proceeds are donated to animal rescue non-profits, turning stories into real-world support for those who need it most.
The Full 5-Story Collection
Travel and experience inspire this collection of five stories, and transform breathtaking landscapes and inner storms into tales of suspense, psychological darkness, and survival.
From the fjords of Norway to the waters of Albania and the snow-covered Alps, this collection explores the uneasy space between travel and danger. Three European mysteries sit alongside two darker tales of obsession, mania, and depression. Inside, my three previously published works: Death in the Alps, Journey to Nordkapp, and The Wrong Note are now joined by two new short stories that complete the set.
For those who enjoy travel and suspense.

Works in Progress
1. Chasing Horizons: Surviving a Life Abroad with Bipolar and Borderline
A young American moves to Germany chasing a new life—only to discover that the demons she hoped to escape have followed her across the ocean: bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder.
Memoir on Mental Illness Abroad
What began as the promise of a fresh start in Germany became a confrontation with bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and the emotional cost of migration. This memoir follows my experience of diagnosis, treatment, and rebuilding within an unfamiliar healthcare system and in a language that wasn’t my own. Told with raw honesty and dark humor, it asks what happens when starting over means letting go of the person you expected to become.

Young & Damned explores grief, guilt, psychological distress, and the institutional silence that allows harm to continue unchecked. Drawing on the imagery of Dante’s Inferno, the novel turns a prestigious boarding school into a labyrinth of ambition, betrayal, and moral decay, where exposing the truth means confronting both the cruelty of others and the wounds within.
